Island Hopping

We Made It

This was my first trip to Asia! The day after I landed in Singapore we hopped on a plane and in less than three hours we were in Lombok, Indonesia! Shail speaks the local language and had been to Lombok before so we were basically locals.

We stayed the first two nights in an amazing resort called the Living Asia Resort and Spa which is where we celebrated his 30th birthday. We visited two of the most beautiful waterfalls I've ever been to (actually the only two I'd ever been to at that point).

We stayed in Gili Trawangan for a night and then spent the last two nights in South Kuta which was my favorite! I hope you enjoy a few of our photos below.

Local Life

We found a local weaver! She's been married for many years and has 4 kids. She wanted to be able to contribute to her family so she started her own business. She weaves some amazing fabrics by hand and sells them along with other handmade Indonesian goods at her shop. She gave me a lesson on weaving but she made it look much easier than it was.

24 hours in Gili Trawangan consisted of a sunset on some hammocks with drinks, a full day of exploring the island and snorkeling with special sea creatures!

Finishing up our trip in South Kuta. Know as a surfing town. This was by far my favorite area. So much beautify scenery, yoga,  good food and local friends we made while relaxing one day!
